In the third quarter of 2024, the air travel app market in the United Arab Emirates saw varied performance trends among the top five iOS applications, according to data from Sensor Tower.
Emirates exhibited a gradual decline in weekly downloads, starting at about 4.7K in early July and closing the quarter at 3K by the end of September. Active users followed a similar downward trajectory, decreasing from 9.3K to 7.5K over the same period.
Wizz Air - Book Flights experienced a notable drop in weekly downloads, peaking at 4K mid-July before falling to 1.7K by the end of September. Active users also decreased, starting at 8.9K in early July and ending at 6.4K.
Air Arabia saw fluctuating download numbers, beginning the quarter with 3.4K downloads and concluding with a significant spike to 5.6K in the last week of September. Active users increased from 8.3K to 10.8K, showing a late-quarter boost.
Flightradar24 | Flight Tracker maintained a steady revenue stream, peaking at approximately $2.9K in the final week of September. Downloads peaked at 3.2K in early August before settling at 2.7K at quarter's end. Active users rose from 5.3K to 6.3K during the quarter.
Finally, Etihad Airways reported a consistent decline in downloads, from 2.4K in early July to 1.7K by September's end. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating slightly around 3K throughout the quarter.
